For 57 years the MV Islander ferried the residents of Martha's Vineyard home safely through gales and blizzards. Her last scheduled run was at noon on Monday March 5, 2007.
Vineyard photographer John Budris has captured the Islander, her crew and passengers in hundreds of rare images during the course of his 27 years living on Martha's Vineyard.
